Who Is Responsible for the Law of Gravity?
The talk today at St Mary's Men's group gave us the figure of Sir Isaac Newton who was a theist and though known as a scientist---and quite a stellar one at that---also was a theologian and actually wrote more theology than he did science. He knew enough of the natural world to realize that design implied a Designer, and laws such as gravity inferred a Lawgiver. It would be a fine thing if the children learning in schools today learned that science at one time embraced God for His logical necessity.
