In the pew just in front

In the pew just in front of me today I noticed an elderly couple, perhaps in their eighties. The man said something kind to his wife and his wife just sat there and even though I was looking at them from the back I could tell a smile waved her entire being as she elbowed him with an affectionate nudge. I don't think even a handful of diamonds could do that. I wonder if they realized what a good witness they so eloquently expressed to the guy sitting behind them.
