There But For the Grace of God Go I

"There but for the grace of God go I." This was something that was often said at one time. We realized in that bygone age, it seems, that we ourselves without God's grace could be capable of nearly anything. For many of us who have little power or voice or influence our anger is merely laughed at. But what if we had the power of a Stalin or a Hitler or even a doctor or a judge...perhaps our power could cause us to exercise our power in unjust ways. I wish for only God to have that prerogative of power. May we regain that axiom: "There but for the grace of God go I."
